Another early start, getting those words on the page. Love watching the nature from my garden studio and the way that the sun moves round the space as it rises and sets. I particularly like being in here for the first few hours of light when a little sun seeps in from the East and then in the late afternoon/early evening where brighter rays come in from the West.
Lots of work to be done today, now ploughing through the pages with something of a system. I need to do at least 20 pages of the book every week to meet my July deadline and so far on track.
Everyone is now happier in our home space since we got our kitchen and lounge back and could move freely through the hallway too. Tonight the kitchen cupboard handles went on, which takes everything up a notch. I also started bringing some cut flowers and houseplants into the space as I just can't help myself.
Roaming round the spaces enjoying where the sun falls here too, I settled by the piano by the double doors and spotted a medium sized fox making some moves on the lawn. This is not unusual and I've heard a lot of action under and above my shed too recently so I've been wondering if there are more to come. Hey presto, out run not one but three baby fox cubs, the sweetest things you've ever seen. It's the same every year. We moan and moan about the foxes and their poo and the damage to all the seedlings and then the cubs appear and we're all over them! Until they start wrecking everything too...
What's the point of making a wildlife garden if you can't share your space with the actual wildlife though. Also happy to report that the bird feeders are now attracting goldfinches as well as tits, sparrows, starlings and wood pigeons. Such a wonderful time of year to connect with nature.
